Brandsmart USA complaint
I bought a 42" Plasma LG tv from Brandsmart on 9-28-06 it went out on 1-28-08 and is still A black square on my wall even though I have an extended warranty today is 3-4-08 and still does not work. BEWARE OF BRANDSMART USA!!!!! They do not care about there customers. They do nothing but, bounce you back and forth to other department and never return calls. The warrenties are not worth the paper they are written on. If and when they fix it I will let you know. BEWARE OF BRANDSMART USA!!!!!

Please call Brands Mart USA-CEO Robert and Michael Perlman-954 797-4000. Again BEWARE OF BRANDSMART USA!!!!! Thx Bigmurph30540

They became big by selling junk to people. I was in the electronic business and worked with them... I know what I'm talking about. Internal physical damage is a very touchy subject, and more so when you're talking about a heavy piece of equipment: That box could have been dropped and the unit inside is so well protected, that it won't show external damage on the unit, but inside it could be destroyed. The truth is, a good company will stand by you as a consumer in a situation like this, but forget about Brandsmart! They sell refurbished, discontinued or "close outs" from manufacturers, distributors and/or third parties. Pay a few bucks more and buy from a reputable business.

Brands Mart is only good for buying Appliances. Once you get them home and if theres a problem it goes under factory warranty,usually for a year. Dont buy electronics unless you pay with an AMEX Credit Card as this gives you an edge to dispute service after the warranty or 90 days are up,I think they buy seconds and damaged merchandise on the electronic end and the commisioned sales staff are worse than furniture sales people.

Brandsmart sell expensive DISPOSABLE Lct Tv's ! 

Purchased $6,000. Lct Sharp Aquos Tv in end of April, took it home didnt set it up until after returning from vacation, screen showed a thin vertical line on bottom left, didnt think anything of it since it was then our 3rd TV after prior returns, line multiplied, called warranty dept said that wasnt covered without even going out to see TV, called the store since salesperson assured my husband the tv would be covered for everything. Salesman reassured me again everything covered then after speaking with his manager and a lot of other so called management they bounced me off to contact the manufacturer Sharp., they asked for photos to be emailed, instantly responded back saying the $6,000. not covered. There is no exterior damage however they claim that some unknown source caused the interior Lcd damage and it is unfixable, they now want to sell me another $6,000. tv with a 10% discount !, the management or anyone from Brandsmart hasnt even bother calling to check on this or even offered refund of extended warranty that doesn cover item. BEWARE of brandsmart usa west palm beach store. We are out $6,000. and a Sharp Aquos TV, making payments on my Brandsmart credit card for an expensive disposible tv. Funny sales personnel tell you everything is covered, booklet even says all covered to quickly make the sale and get their commission but when something goes wrong everything changes. Craig Prescott, Gen Mangr has never bother returning phone calls, Robert Johnson, Dist Mangr never returns phone calls, Frank Serrano TV Dept mangr is very rude and passes the buck, Edie Bowe from Corporate office is full of BS she is a master of BS and loves passing the buck. Mr David Goldstein is the only person who actually listened and sent a tech out there again who took photos and sent to Sharp with notes stating no physical damage but again Sharp lacks immagination and stated tv not covered for cracked lct screen due to unknown physical damage. Hello people !!!! TV IS INTACT, there is not physical damage, tv could have been damaged by manufacturer when shipping the very heavy item and tightening the bolts or something internal. Why would we purchase a $6,000. Sharp Aquos LCD TV and this now being the 3rd TV from Brandsmart USA within 30 days since the previous cheaper ones were junk, were assured by the salesman that TV was fully covered only to find out 3 months later that we out out of luck, TV not covered so we are out a TV and out $6,000. We have purchased thousands of dollars there as well as highly recommend to everything and after this never stepping foot in the store again !!

The best way to get them to honor your extended warranty is to file a report with your local BBB. My TV went out while under extended warranty and after waiting for 10 weeks for Brandsmart to fix it (they told me they could not find the part) I opened a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I got a call from Brandsmart within 4 days telling me that they will replace my TV.

Brandsmart is without a doubt the worst company I have ever used when buying appliances. They are total and complete idiots. 

 

- wanted a cooktop ("not in stock but show 2 at the warehouse") 

- drove 35 miles to the other side of Atlanta and it was the wrong color 

- they would not give a refund saying it was a "special order" 

- bought another one with a store credit and paid to have it delivered 

- arrived and was the worng color AGAIN 

- got another credit and tried my luck buying a refrigerator instead 

- waited 6 days for it to be delivered and the water dispensor constantly leakes 

- they are making me wait 3 more days for a tech guy to come out 

 

Idiotic madness. The only time I will be back in there is to tell them how glad I am that I have never shopped there again.

Same problem with me. Have an extended warranty on Philips 42 inch plasma. Called on March 1st 08, repair tech came to my house on March 5th, said he would order parts and fix the T.V. within 5 - 7 days. They never called back, I called 2 weeks later, they picked up the T.V. it is now May 1st, 2008. No result yet. I have called weekly and been given different answers to why the T.V. is taking so long. They will no give me a replacement unit. Every time I speak with a representative I get more and more frustrated.
