I purchase a 2 year extended waranty for my HP Laptop and frop it for repair on at the store on June 7. Today, is Wednesday, July 25, 2008 and I still have not received not even a courtesy call explaining why has taken so long for my computer to be fixed. I first call the repair service line and they no training and no sense at all of what's going on. They first said it was fixed and they couldn't shipped it because of the holiday (4th of July) even though I call on Monday, June 30, 2008. They advertised that they have 75 local authorized repair dealers and it takes them 45 to retun my equipment. I am in to process of filing a formal claim. |
| 2. Written by MWW, on 03-07-2008 13:13 I bought the extended warranty on a Samsung DVD home theater. It went bad after the factory warranty. Om May 10, 2008, I called customer service at 800-228-2731 and was told to take it to the Doraville store because they had a service center. The service tech agreed that it was bad, and he called someone and told them so. I was then put on the phone and told that a credit would be issued. On May 16, 2008 i called the 800 number and was told a credit would be issued and i would be called not later than May 20, 2008 with the details. On May 24, 08, I called the 800 number and was told the claim was still pending. I told them I was moving from GA to NC and there were no Brandsmart stores in NC. June, 3, 2008 I again called the 800 number and this time was told I would be issued a check for the full amount by someone named Daniel. On June 6, 2008 i called the 800 number again, after being "hung up' on three times I spoke to Veronica who told me I would receive the check within 5 days. I was out of the country for most of June On July 3, 2008 I again called the 800 number and this time was told I needed to contact Sabine at 954-797-4000. I called that number and after being transferred several times I was told that i had to call the Doraville store credit department. Whe I tried to explain that the Doraville store didn't have my check i was told I was being transferred to someone else and was conveniently disconnected. My advice is shop somewhere else if you expect customer service. The money I paid for the extended warranty was wasted its becoming obvious that Brandsmart has a system of obfuscation and runaround when it comes to honoring their warranties. Don't waste your money.... |
